Get coins

You must get coins in order to participate in auctions at just1dollar.ca. What we call a coin is a "credit" that allows you to place a bid in a current auction. The number of coins you have in your possession determines the number of bids you can place. Each bid placed increases the auction price by an additional penny ($0.01).

Besides the coins, there are "bonus coins" which may be obtained in different ways; such as acquiring coin packages, by leaving testimonials, referring a friend or by participating in the just1dollar.ca loyalty program. "Bonus coins" are used the same way for bidding as regular coins, except that they do not count toward a discount on the purchase of an item or toward the just1dollar.ca loyalty program. Each coin corresponds to $1 applicable per bid, taxes not included.

Coins bid are non-refundable; however, they are not completely lost. It is often possible to purchase an item that you didn't win by paying the difference between the coins bid and the posted retail price. Please note that shipping costs may apply in that case.
